Keep Going: Don’t Quit

Keep Going: Don’t Quit
Scripture
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)
The Point Where Most People Stop
Out on the trail, there’s always a moment.
Not at the start, not when it’s exciting.
But later…
When you’re tired.
When the obstacles keep coming.
When progress feels slow.
That’s where we start thinking maybe this isn’t worth it, maybe I should turn around.”
That’s the moment this verse speaks to us.
Weariness Is Real
Scripture doesn’t ignore reality. It says: “Let us not grow weary…”
Because weariness will come.
Doing the right thing repeatedly.
Leading when no one notices
Staying consistent when results are slow
Choosing obedience when it’s hard
Faithfulness can feel exhausting.
The Danger of Quitting Too Soon
The problem isn’t always doing the wrong thing.
Sometimes it’s quitting the right thing… too early.
God’s timing doesn’t always match ours.
We want quick results, visible progress and immediate reward.
But God works in seasons and often, the harvest comes later than we expect.
The Promise in the Process
Paul gives us both a warning and a promise “…we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
That’s the key…. we don’t quit!
Not if we’re perfect.
Not if it’s easy.
If we stay faithful.
God sees what others do not, He honors what feels unseen.
Nothing done in faith is wasted.
Faithfulness Over Feelings
There will be days you don’t feel like it.
Days where motivation is gone, results are invisible and effort feels pointless.
That’s where faith steps in.
You don’t keep going because you feel like it.
You keep going because you trust God is working.
This Week’s Challenge
Ask yourself:
Where am I tempted to quit right now?
Spiritually!
In leadership!
In doing what’s right!
Don’t try to fix everything, just make the decision.
To keep going, to stay faithful, to stay steady, not to quit.
Prayer
Lord,
You know where I’m tired.
You know where I feel like giving up.
Give me the strength to keep going and the faith to trust that You are working, even when I can’t see it.
Help me to remain faithful in every season.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
